Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MyBilr (the "Service"), operated by MyBilr ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
MyBilr is an online invoicing platform for freelancers and independent professionals. The Service lets you manage clients, create and export invoices, send invoice emails (on eligible plans), track email delivery status, configure payment details on PDFs, and automate recurring invoices (on eligible plans). Features available to you depend on your subscription plan.
Eligibility & your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use MyBilr.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your account details up to date.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Plans, billing & payments
- Free plan — includes unlimited manual invoicing and PDF download. In-app email send and automation require a paid plan.
- Paid plans — Starter and Pro plans unlock additional features such as in-app email send, delivery tracking, and automation, as described on our pricing page.
- Subscription fees, billing cycles, and plan limits are shown at checkout and on the Billing page inside the app.
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- MyBilr does not charge transaction fees on invoices you send to your clients. You are responsible for any fees charged by your bank, payment processor, or clients' payment methods outside MyBilr.
- We may change plan prices or features with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance unless you cancel before the new price takes effect.
- Promotional or beta pricing may be offered for a limited time and may revert to standard pricing when the promotion ends.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Send spam, phishing, or misleading invoice emails
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, or reverse engineer the Service
- Access another user's account or data without authorization
- Use the Service in a way that violates applicable tax, invoicing, or consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of invoices, tax information, and payment instructions you create and send to your clients. MyBilr is a tool; we do not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you enter into MyBilr — including client details, invoice data, email templates, and bank information. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide and improve the Service (for example, generating PDFs, sending emails you request, and running automations you configure).
Our intellectual property
MyBilr, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service in the ordinary course.
Service availability
We strive to keep MyBilr available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable. Scheduled maintenance and factors outside our control (such as third-party outages) may affect availability.
Termination
You may stop using MyBilr at any time and delete your account from Profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if continued provision of the Service poses a security or legal risk.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including limitations of liability and dispute terms) will continue to apply.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT INVOICES SENT THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL BE RECEIVED, PAID, OR ACCEPTED BY RECIPIENTS.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYBILR AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
